About this Event
Join us to celebrate Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month with food, music, dancing, arts and crafts, and fun! Free and open to the public. Everyone is welcome!

Make Us Visible VA is excited to launch the 2026 Asian American and Pacific Islander Art Contest.
This year's theme:
“Reflections of the Past, Visions for the Future: What Culture and Heritage Mean to Me”
Open to students ages 3–18. We can’t wait to see how young people express their cultures, stories, families, and communities through art. Please email your child's name and grade, along with a photo or image file of their art submission to: [email protected]

Please note:
- All programming is outdoors and scheduled to occur rain or shine. If the event must be cancelled due to hazardous weather conditions, an announcement will be emailed to registered attendees as soon as a decision is made by organizers.
- Portable restrooms will be available for attendees during the event.
- Visitors are encouraged to walk, bike, or bus to the park. Parking is also available, and carpooling is encouraged.

Bike
There are 4 permanent bike racks located near the Daniels Avenue park entrance.
Bus
There are several Fairfax Connector (401 and 402) and WMATA Metro bus routes that serve central Annandale in the vicinity of the park. There is a bus stop (Stop # 4780) directly in front of 7200 Columbia Pike with 401 and 402 bus route service. Nearby WMATA Metrobus routes include F23, F24, F26, F44, and F85.
Drive and Park - Attendees are urged to carpool to conserve spaces for all visitors!
On-street car parking is available along Daniels Avenue. Off-street car parking is available in the rear ACCA CDC parking lot at 4175 Daniels Avenue with off-site overflow parking available at 7100 Columbia Pike (United Baptist Church) and 4270 John Marr Dr (Post Office). UBC is two blocks from the park. The Post Office is down Tom Davis Dr from the park. The nearest pedestrian crosswalks from the south side of Columbia Pike are found at the intersection of John Marr Drive or Backlick Road and Columbia Pike.
