Asia Market Presents Dumpling Making Class 2026 with Eva Pau & Janet

Celebrate the Year of the Horse with a hands-on Dumpling Making Masterclass at Asia Market Ballymount. Guided by two dumpling experts, Eva Pau, TV Chef at RTÉ One and CEO of Asia Market, and Jianan Liu of Janet’s @ Eatyard, winner of RTÉ’s Takeaway Titans 2022, this experience invites you to learn one of the most cherished Lunar New Year traditions.

What to Expect:

In many Chinese households, dumpling making is a treasured custom in the days leading up to the Lunar New Year. Dumplings are shaped to resemble ancient gold and silver ingots and are believed to bring wealth and prosperity for the year ahead.

During this interactive masterclass, Eva Pau and Janet will:

• Share the cultural significance of dumpling making during the Lunar New Year
• Demonstrate how to prepare two types of dumplings from scratch
• Teach you how to roll, fill, and shape your own dumplings
• Guide you as you cook and enjoy your handmade creations during the session

This workshop is suitable for all skill levels. Whether you are an experienced home cook or a complete beginner, you will enjoy an engaging and welcoming experience. The class is also vegan-friendly.

Every attendee will also leave with their own dumpling creations and an Asia Market goodie bag to continue exploring Asian flavours at home.
