Asia Market Presents Sushi Making Class 2026 with Eva Pau & Zakura

Roll into the Year of the Horse with a hands-on sushi-making masterclass at Asia Market Ballymount. Guided by two expert chefs from Zakura and TV chef Eva Pau, this workshop offers an accessible and enjoyable introduction to the craft of Japanese sushi. It is designed as one of the most affordable sushi-making classes available, without compromising on quality or experience.

What You Will Learn

Across this fully hands-on two-hour session, participants will learn to prepare three popular styles of sushi:

• Hoso maki - cucumber roll
• Norimaki - salmon and avocado roll
• Temaki roll - California-style hand roll with crab stick and avocado

Your instructors will demonstrate each technique step by step before guiding you through rolling, shaping, and assembling your own sushi.

Every participant will receive their own sushi rolling mat, sushi rice, nori sheets, and a full selection of fillings to use during the class. You will prepare each roll yourself with direct support from the Zakura chefs and Eva.

What to Expect

This class is suitable for complete beginners as well as enthusiastic home cooks. You will gain practical skills, learn the fundamentals of sushi preparation, and understand the cultural traditions behind this well-loved cuisine. At the end of the session, you will enjoy the sushi you have made yourself.

Every attendee will also leave with an Asia Market goodie bag to continue exploring Japanese flavours at home.
