Come and Visit The Wirral Vikings - Wirhalh Skip Felegr - The Wirral Ship Fellowship at their viking encampment in the woods of West Kirby as they prepare for battle.
Wirral Vikings are Merseyside largest Viking, Anglo-Saxon and Norman reenactment group demonstrating the crafts and skills used by the local inhabitants 1000 years ago.
Inspiring the next generation of archaeologists and historians
Our living history events demonstrate early medieval social customs and period crafts.
Period crafts such as bone carving, wood work, herb lore or textile working offer the public an intimate and engaging insight into the often overlooked challenges of everyday life more than a thousand years ago.
In contrast our violent combat displays dramatically portray the less commonplace but ever popular aspects of the conflicts between the Vikings and their Anglo Saxon neighbours.
This amazing FREE community event combines the renown displays of Wirral Vikings.
We pride ourselves on the quality of our research which has been highlighted by academics as exemplar and we are proud that we will only display items that we can prove existed with well researched facts and evidence.
Immersive living history demonstrating the realities of every day life in the period. Not modern fantasy.
