🌳 Short Film Screening and Stories from our Ancestral Healing Pilgrimage to Poland 🌳***For both Berkeley and Live Stream tickets, please see below***
This summer, 17 Ashkenazi Jews went on a life-changing journey. In the midst of rising fascism in the US and a genocide in Gaza, we went in search of deep connection to our ancestors and ancestral lands in service of personal and collective healing and liberation.
We asked many questions:
--> Can we find joy and beauty – and not only pain – in the 1000 year history of our people in these lands?
--> Will we find lost parts of ourselves and the Jewish people?
--> And, can we honor the memory of our ancestors in such a way that doesn’t harden us into fear, anger, victimhood and ultimately perpetration – but that instead softens us into deeper compassion and a Judaism rooted in Never Again for Anyone?
☀️ Spoiler alert: The answer is a resounding YES. ☀️ This work holds a paradigm-shifting seed of healing, and we’d love to show you what's possible.
Join us for a moving and mind-opening afternoon of film, stories, song, and conversation for your own enrichment, and to support the making of this film as well as scholarships for the program -- as we build a Judaism beyond Zionism from the roots.

October 19 from 3-6PM in Berkeley/Oakland (program is from 3-5:30 with a reception after)
20% of what's raised goes to In Our Name, a coalition of Jewish donors raising $10 million in partnership with RAWA to directly fund Palestinian-led projects including and going beyond food aid to advocacy and systemic change.
The film is being created by Julia Maryanska, and the event will be facilitated by Julie Wolk, Cyrise Beatty Schachter, and many of the journey participants.
