Location: Asahel Curtis Nature Trail
Date: Friday July 10, 2026
Meet at the trailhead: 1:00 PM
Permit: Northwest Forest Pass
Trail: 1 mile, gentle ups and downs. Dirt path, not handicapped accessible.
Road conditions: Pot-holed road, shares parking lot with Annette Lake trailhead.
What you might see: Old-growth conifers, complex understory of forest shrubs & perennials. Interesting “bingo” plants, including false bugbane (Trautvetteria sp.), pipsissewa, queen’s cup, and others. If lucky, we’ll spot a rein orchid (Platanthera orbiculata) or a Roundleaf Orchid (Amerorchis rotundafolia).
