Experience Downtown in a whole new light! ArtSpin ~ Unplugged takes everything you love about our traditional Saturday arts experience and flips the switch for a vibrant Friday evening edition from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Stroll through our incredible downtown art galleries, catch live creative demonstrations, and soak in the evening atmosphere. Adults can grab a favorite beverage to-go and enjoy it while exploring, thanks to our Downtown Social District!
Whether you’re wrapping up the work week with friends, enjoying a date night, or looking for a fun, family-friendly evening out with the kids, ArtSpin ~ Unplugged has something for everyone. Come spin into the weekend with us!
ArtSpin is a co-hosted event between Wilson Downtown Development and Wilson Arts, and is sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Wilson County Tourism Development Authority.

Soak up summer with the Wilson Active Artists Association’s “Shades of Summer” exhibition in the Hammond Gallery, plus live demonstrations throughout the evening. Also, look for five of their artists out in the wild painting en plein air style (painting landscapes or scenes outside the studio) throughout our downtown.

🖼 The Edge Gallery | 127 Barnes Street
There will be an open studio day in the gallery, with tables set up with puzzles, drawing projects and books, or bring your own project and create and commune with others. It will be a quiet space of retreat and creativity. All are welcome, no charge. The Gallery will feature art, and they will offer tours of their studios. Or just come on in and choose an activity, whether it be finding a corner to read, write, put some pieces in our group puzzle, or make a piece of art in a relaxed, unstructured environment. Barb and Sebastian will be around to guide you. They will be giving away Rockstars & Flowers and Edge t-shirts to the 10th and 11th visitors who come into the gallery.

A mime, juggler with a unicycle who brings a playful, visual style of entertainment rooted in physical entertainment, skill, and audience interaction. They will be roaming and performing at ArtSpin-Unplugged, adding spontaneous, family-friendly entertainment throughout the event space.
🎨 Morgan Barnes | Courthouse Plaza – 115 Nash Street
Morgan Barnes is a visual artist known for creating large-scale, public-facing mural work that brings bold color and storytelling into shared community spaces. For ArtSpin-Unplugged, she will be painting a large mural in front of the courthouse, working live alongside the event to transform the space into an interactive art experience.
💃 MC Glo-Modern Line Dance Instructor | Courthouse Plaza – 115 Nash Street
MC GLO is a Wilson, NC–based party host and modern line dance instructor known for bringing high-energy, crowd-focused entertainment to events. He will be leading mini dance lessons and keep the crowd moving throughout the experience.
🎻 David Klinger | Whirligig Park Pavilion – 301 Goldsboro Street S
Raleigh based solo violinist and fiddler who brings a soulful, expressive sound to a wide range of events. He will be offering a thoughtful, intimate musical set that adds depth and atmosphere to the evening.
🎵 Lady May & Redd | Eastern Auto Supply Alley – 112 Barnes Street W
Lady May & Redd are a singer and bass guitar duo known for their warm sound and collaborative musical style. They will be performing and offering an intimate set that adds a smooth musical backdrop to the evening.

Joshua Dinan is a solo guitarist and musician known for delivering engaging live performances with a focus on feel, rhythm, and audience connection. He will be performing live music and an acoustic-driven soundtrack to the event atmosphere.

Experience the signature vibe of Brizzl as he will add another layer of creativity to the ArtSpin experience with his live Hip Hop keyboard performance. Smooth keys, hip-hop influences, and an unmistakable groove.
