📍AESA, FASA, & PhotoSoc present our 2026 Arts Week Exhibition: 'Worldbuilding'!
How can you tell a story through a single image? Create a palpable atmosphere in a painting? Transform a tiny detail into something significant?
The theme for the 2026 Arts Week Exhibition is ‘Worldbuilding’. We invite you to submit artwork that immerses the audience in a new world – your artwork could convey a narrative, offer an alternate perspective, or highlight the unseen.
You don’t have to create a whole new fictional realm, but think about perspectives, narratives, relationships and cultures. Whether you're taking us through a whole story in one art piece or zooming in on a specific detail, pick an artwork that brings your world into view.
📍We invite both members of our clubs, students and non-students to enter the exhibition competition, and support the creative community by visiting the exhibition and attending our opening night (3rd August).
We will start the opening night with a short introduction of the theme and announce our prize winners. This will be followed by free food and time to mix and mingle.
Come along to support everyone’s work!
📍The exhibition will be held publicly during week 3 (Semester 2 2026) from Monday, 3rd August - Friday, 7th August in the UoA Arts and Education Building (B201).
