Ja’ Licia Gainer is a painter in the medium of oil and acrylic painting. Gainer focuses on objects of everyday life, nature in abstraction, and the human form from her perspective.
Gainer received her MA in Art History at the University of Missouri. Over the years, Gainer’s artwork has been a part of exhibitions and art galleries in Columbia, including the Shops at Sharp End, Columbia Art League, Boone County Annual Art Show, the Montminy Gallery, the State Historical Society of Missouri (SHSMO), Serendipity Gallery, the University of Missouri, and Orr Street Studios. Gainer has completed a residency at Orr Street Studies called Artists in Residence Residency program.

Tayler Holmes, a self-taught student of the arts from Columbia MO was born August 1999. He specializes in acrylic paints, song writing, and photography. His style deemed “Romantic Afro-surrealism” is exemplified by vivid depictions of mental/emotional trial, dynamic composition, and a myriad of vibrant color combinations. Tayler draws inspiration from the mental condition, music/musicians, black history and culture, and times on reminisce. Tayler with his work aims to accurately depict the times, to draw attention to life’s blessings that get taken for granted, and to encourage creatives to make “your way” work. Holmes has completed a residency at Orr Street Studios called Artists in Residence Residency program.
