We invite you to the artists talks of the educational program FLASH ART Gallery!During the spring and summer season, Flash Art Gallery presents Raul Meel's graphic artworks and invites everyone to an artist talk with his daughter, Liidia Meel. Liidia will discuss her father’s artistic journey and works and will answer questions from the audience.
Raul Meel is one of Estonia’s most renowned and internationally recognized painters and graphic artists. He is also a sculptor, installation and fire-performance artist, prose writer (specializing in concrete poetry), as well as a visual and sound poet. He has published 250 books on concrete, visual, and sound poetry, along with more than 50 albums in various languages.
Originally trained as an electrical engineer, he worked as an electrician from 1959 to 1961, as a tare weigher from 1962 to 1987, as a master at an experimental graphic art studio from 1987 to 1990, and later as a freelance artist. During the Soviet era, he was considered a persona non grata in the art scene, yet he remained known beyond the Iron Curtain. During the golden era of graphic art (1962–1980), he was the only Estonian artist who was a member of the International Club of Prize Winners of the International Print Biennials. Raul Meel is also listed among the Top Artists at Angel Museum, USA, and is a member of the Estonian Artists' Association.

The educational program of the graphic gallery will be dedicated to topics related to the art of graphics.
The program reveals various blocks that will help you learn and understand the world of graphics.
We will regularly hold lectures on the history of graphics:
- "Masterpices on paper". We will look at individual examples of drawing and printing techniques mastery by various artists from different countries and eras
- "Masters of graphic art." We will talk about collections and collectors of graphics
- "Collections and collectors of graphics" is dedicated to the meeting of traditional and modern techniques of print and graphic art
- "Not just a drawing" is dedicated to the meeting of traditional and modern techniques of print and graphic art
- "Artist-talk" - dialogues with contemporary graphic artists presented in the FLASH ART gallery space.
Lectures and meetings take place in our venue every Wednesday at 19:00, and Saturday at 15:00 conducted in Estonian, English, and Russian
