Intrinsic Value is an 11-part painting series exploring “what really matters?” What do you value? When you set aside everything and look inwards, who are you?
The ultimate reason I created this series is to spread love. I looked around and saw so much noise being promoted, and I wanted to fight it. What can I do? How can I lessen the noise?
All the paintings in this series are real moments from my life that I hope will inspire you to reflect on your own. I hope each paint stroke and mark on the canvas helps bring you back to the present. Life is messy, beautiful, and full of emotions, just like my painting process. Sometimes a painting comes swift and easy; other times it can be difficult and take a while. Either way, I’m here for it all.
I am so glad we’re here together, and maybe that’s all we need to lessen the noise. To be a present community.
You have a right to be here.
You have a right to Enjoy. You have a right to Ground. You have a right to Connect. You have a right to Reflect. You have a right to Isolate. You have a right to Feel. You have a right to Explore. You have a right to Communicate. You have a right to Play. You have a right to Show Up. You have a right to Love.

Hi, I’m Cassidy Adams! I am an artist based in the Shreveport / Bossier area. I enjoy all things art and believe that life itself is art! I mainly tattoo and paint, but I fully embrace my creativity wherever it takes me! I hope to spread love through my art forms and mundane moments, and create a safe space for us to see each other as we are.
