Artist in Residence: Wonder in the Wild: A Family-Friendly Meet and Make Art Event with Tara Pappas

Join us for a special family-friendly art event, celebrating the beauty of this state park with artist-in-residence, Tara Pappas. Drop in any time between 10-2pm to meet the artist, hear about her residency experience and view some of the art she has been inspired to create from her time in the park. Not only will you have the opportunity to view some of Tara’s work, but you will also have the unique chance to contribute to one of Tara’s mixed media paintings!
Take a moment to write words or draw pictures that remind you of the park, or write about an adventure you’ve had in the park and add it to a collage that will become the foundation of a mixed media painting. In addition, Tara will be creating some special miniature design templates inspired by the natural beauty of the park for visitors to trace and paint onto wood to take home. All supplies and instruction will be provided, and projects are suitable for all ages to participate.
