John Nolan will share artifacts that survived the 1800s, and what they tell us about the people who owned them.
About this Event

Greenville spent the 1800s growing from a courthouse village on the Reedy River into a market and mill town. Most of what its people made, bought, and used is long gone. Some of it survived. Historian John Nolan walks through artifacts from Greenville’s nineteenth century and asks what they reveal. Who made these objects? Who owned them? And what do the things a town leaves behind tell us about how it lived, worked, and changed?

About the talk
The talk runs about 45 minutes, followed by questions.
