This annual festival, a partnership between the Mount Pleasant Towne Centre and the Town of Mount Pleasant brings families and cultural enthusiasts together with budding and professional artists for an event that showcases a diverse array of local and regional artistic talent.Local music, dance and visual arts studios offer stunning performances by some of the area’s most talented individuals and groups. Creative aspirations are ignited in children who are given opportunities to explore many art forms and create their own masterpieces.
Ready to perform on the main stage are Bach to Rock, Deakins Suzuki Strings, Heart Beatz Dance Academy, Charleston Dance Works, Carolina Dance Arts, Jennie Moore Elementary Chorus and Mini Monarchs, LowCo Suzuki Guitar and Palmetto Twirlers.
Stroll the Art Walk, featuring the incredible creations of local artists such as Clay and Sea, Joe Benton Photography, Momma Maddies Sweetgrass Jewelry & Collectibles, Bright Star Designs, Potting Around, Art by Valarie Greene, Sterling Art Studio, Tweak of Nature, Jason Travis Woodwork, Olatu Designs and Rooted in Charleston.
Tons of kids activities including Pedal-powered Spin Art with Good Clean Fun, caricatures, balloon art, face painting, fairy hair, Sweetgrass Basket demonstrations, Just Bee Bee Hive, arts & crafts and Hoopitude. Plus, exhibits from the Mount Pleasant Artist Guild, Rotary Club of Mount Pleasant, Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce, Be Great Academy, Gibbes Museum, Girl Scouts of Eastern South Carolina, Mount Pleasant Family Martial Arts, Mount Pleasant Library, The Children's Museum, Spoleto Festival and so many more!
Demonstrations by Cosmic Energy Co., Lowcountry Wood Art, Sweetgrass Basket Making, Palmetto Rose Making and Plein Art Paint Off.
Food and snacks will be available for purchase from Nick's German Food Truck, Rikiquito, Gaucho Grill, Crazy Chris's Concessions, Holy City Homemade Italian Ice, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Holy City Popcorn, Kona Ice and Pure Fluff Co. plus beer & wine from Burtons Grill & Bar.
All activities and performances are free of charge. The event is for residents and visitors of all ages, from young parents and children through seniors.
