Art Yarn & Create is a relaxed and welcoming creative program that explores and celebrates First Nations art from the Bendigo Art Gallery’s Collection.
We begin the session by exploring a First Nations artwork from the collection, providing an opportunity to learn about the artist, stories, themes, and cultural perspectives reflected in the work.
Participants will then engage in hands-on artmaking, exploring materials, techniques, and ideas, or some mindful work, in a supportive and inclusive environment. No prior art experience is necessary, just curiosity and a willingness to learn and create.
Art Yarn & Create offers a space to learn, create, reflect, and connect through the richness of First Nations art and storytelling.
