About this Event
Enjoy a memorable date night while creating paintings together.
You can paint portraits of each other or similar paintings together and choose any scene, but along the way, you will swap places to help your partner. Will you try to touch up their work, or will you make just subtle changes? Any decision is right: simply paint and talk. Our teachers, experienced in art wellness, will guide you through this process gently and thoughtfully, ensuring that both masterpieces belong entirely to the two of you.

Toward the end of the class, your instructor will ask you to switch places. Add something to your partner’s painting, then switch back and finish your own. Now you have to decide what to do with the unexpected addition your partner made.
It’s a fun way to learn something new about each other, make something together, and go home with two paintings that tell a story about your date.
What you'll get:
You'll get a beautiful handmade masterpiece on canvas (8x10 in.), renewed creative energy, and memories of a truly inspiring evening with a glass of wine or another beverage.
What to bring:
Nothing! We'll provide everything you need for the workshop, including an apron, all art materials, and step-by-step guidance.
Knowledge required:
Beginner-friendly! No prior art experience is needed. Experienced artists are just as welcome. Everyone works at their own pace and can choose a level of detail and creative challenge that feels right for them.
Alive Space Studio is a short 7-min walk from the Civic Center BART and just 2 min to the newly revamped, clean SF City Hall Plaza. We'll email building entry & parking details (with photos) after payment. Please check! ADA Accessibility, contact us in advance.

- We treat our guests to a complimentary glass of wine or another beverage. BYOB is welcome and appreciated. We also offer cups/glasses.
- Participants must be 21 (show ID to get alcohol)
