Flagging In The Park
National AIDS Memorial Grove, Golden Gate Park
Saturday, October 10, 2026
1:00 to 4:00 pm
Come enjoy the sun, music, flora, and friends in the beautiful National AIDS Memorial Grove. This event is open to all flow artists: fanning, flagging, poi, staff, hoopers, and their supporters. Flags are available for use or just relax and take in the fun dance music and colorful visuals. Bring a beverage, a lunch, something (non-plastic/grass-friendly) to sit on, and enjoy!
Music By: Christopher B
Ever since he was young, Christopher has been captivated by music, spending countless hours lost in his headphones. From classical piano to experimenting with synthesizers, his journey eventually led him to discover his true passion: music for the dance floor. In 2001, encouraged by a favorite DJ, he picked up his first set of turntables and began creating mixes for friends, playing small parties, and supporting community organizations through music.
Over the past 25 years, DJ Christopher B has performed at major venues and events around the world, including Sydney Mardi Gras, Gay Days in Orlando, San Francisco Pride, and Flagging in the Park. He’s had the pleasure of playing some of the most iconic venues across San Francisco, including regular gigs at two of his favorite spots: Lookout and the EndUp. Christopher’s sound favors upbeat, soulful vocals — harmonically blending retro favorites, pop vocals, disco, and classic ’90s house, all with one goal: keeping crowds smiling while they move and groove.
About Our Beneficiary: San Francisco AIDS Foundation
San Francisco AIDS Foundation envisions a future where health justice is achieved for all people living with or at risk for HIV. Ultimately, we strive for a day when: race is not a barrier to health and wellness; substance use is not stigmatized; HIV status does not determine quality of life; and HIV transmission is eliminated.

What to Expect
The AIDS Memorial Grove is a gorgeously secluded meadow near the east end of Golden Gate Park. The fog often lingers above, especially in the summer, so bring sunscreen and a wrap. Bring something to sit on, pack a lunch or snacks and beverages, and flags are available for use. Expect a few furry friends roaming about. Services are limited nearby, but port-a-potties will be available. Our DJ spins vocal, fun-filled dance music, and flow artists eagerly enjoy and share their art with newcomers. There is no pressure to participate. Come relax and take in the color and beauty of our tribe.
2026 Partners
Flagging In The Park is a program of Grass Roots Gay Rights Foundation (GRGRF), which continues to support us with a $2,000 matching grant for each of our 2026 events. As always, it takes a village to make this happen! FITP would not be possible without the support of our incredible partners: the National AIDS Memorial, Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, Flagger Central, The Lookout, Ryan Clouse (graphics), our generous donors, and the many volunteers who ensure every dollar collected in the Grove goes to our beneficiaries. Be sure to show them some love and let them know you appreciate their support!
