About this Event
Art Therapy Group: Spontaneous Art Making
Join us for an open, process-focused art therapy group centered on spontaneous creativity and self-expression. This is a space to create freely, without expectation or outcome, and to explore what it feels like to be you through art.
The sessions will take place:
Wednesdays from 5:00–7:00 PM
May 13 and May 20
June 10, June 17, and June 24
Each session is offered as a standalone experience with separate registration. You are welcome to attend one or multiple sessions.
In this group, participants are invited to create whatever they feel drawn to in the moment. There is no theme or right way to begin. Through the creative process, your artwork becomes a way of witnessing your inner experience as it unfolds. The process places control in your hands, allowing you to move at your own pace and follow your own intuition.
Engaging in creativity can bring a sense of aliveness and presence. The word inspiration originally referred to a breath of life, a sense of something moving through us. In this space, art becomes a way to access and express what may be difficult to articulate in words. Feelings, memories, and experiences can take form visually, becoming transformed through image, symbol, and creative expression.
At times, placing something outside of yourself in visual form can create a shift, offering clarity, distance, or release. Participants are encouraged to stay in dialogue with their images, noticing what emerges and how it evolves over time.
Throughout the session, gentle guidance and optional prompts are available, along with space for reflection and optional sharing. The emphasis is on exploration, play, and allowing the creative process to unfold naturally.
No previous experience is required. This group is not about artistic skill. It is about expression, curiosity, and connection to self.
All supplies will be provided.
