Using needle felting, sewing and found objects, we will create our own 'doll', one which expresses your thoughts, memories, sense of self, and which celebrates you too.The process of making your own doll - via your imagination, experiences and journeys - encourages growth, healing, discovery, joy ... whicever is most nedded, and begins a stronger level of connection with our inner compass.
Textile creativity is a practical and powerful method of conencting with others, our community, and our stories, and is a relaxing, mindful practice. No prior experience is needed.
I will be supplying the wool, needles, threads and recycled pieces of material for us to use.
Please feel welcome to also bring along any pieces of fabric, lace, threads etc that you would like to incorporate, as well as any treasured object to add, whether inherited, found, made or bought.
Each finished doll brings a smile; they evolve through the session into something valued, which in turn brings the maker a sense of joy and celebration.
Time: 10:30am - 4:00pm, with an hour's lunch break.
Maximum participants, 12. No experience is necessary.
Cost per person, which includes all materials, tools and refreshments, £45.
You can bring a packed lunch, or visit one of the nearby cafes.
