What is Liberty Work:
liberty is a method of communicating and building a deep partnership with your horse (the finished product is without a rope).
It starts with foundational exercises on a halter, with the goal of working completely loose (at “liberty).
Just like other disciplines, it takes time, patience and exercises to create a solid liberty horse.
The connection and partnership are developed through these exercises and greatly benefits all disciplines.
Clinic Set Up:
Participants will be assigned to either the morning or afternoon session for each day (Friday and Saturday). Participants or paid auditors are encouraged to watch the other session each day to gain additional knowledge 2 sessions each day of 4 hours each. 4 handler/horse team per session. This ensures lots of one-on-one time for each person. Participants are encouraged to watch the other group in order to maximize their learning. The first day will be spent online learning foundation exercises needed for liberty work and get to know the horses and handlers. The second day will revisit these exercises (and fix any problems) to ensure horses and handlers are confident. We will be doing some one on one loose (liberty) work in a smaller pen for participants and horses that are ready to move on.

Clinician Francesca Carson: For two decades, Francesca has been sharing the Art of Liberty with horse lovers throughout the U.S. and Canada. She believes in personalized coaching, which is why her clinics feature small group sizes, for a tailored experience. All breeds, ages, sizes and skill levels are welcome. Whether you are starting with a young/green horse or refining an older one, you will leave with the skills needed to create (or refine) the willing partnership you’ve always dreamed of. Francesca has spent much time mastering the Art of Liberty (meaning a horse is completely loose). Her horses have performed at large events nationwide and even starred in their own feature-length movie - showcasing the power of a willing partnership.
