We will explore the differences between six types of bird nests and how they are made, then use cut or torn paper to make nests and birds of our own.
Why an "art lab?"
These classes will have an emphasis on the creative process, skill development, and experimentation rather than perfect finished products. It will be a space for exploration of techniques, and combining arts with science, geography, culture, and history.
Who is Jamie Umana?
Jamie is an artist, writer, and local museum instructor specializing primarily in watercolor painting. Jamie is passionate about the therapeutic and meditative benefits of art making, and expressing ourselves creatively. Jamie is a registered volunteer at the Moses Lake School District where she has helped hundreds of students make clay projects.
