Create tissue paper flower crowns inspired by Pride month and the summer reading theme. Special guests OUT Maine will be there to visit!
We'll be joined by the Waterville Public Library for a read aloud of "Have You Ever Seen a Flower" by Shawn Harris.
Each Thursday afternoon, families and community members are invited to enjoy a story read aloud followed by a hands-on art activity inspired by the book or a creative community theme. This free program welcomes all ages and experience levels. In case of rain or extreme heat, we’ll move indoors to the Paul J. Schupf Art Center.
The Summer Reading theme is Plant a Seed, Read.
Art in the Park is sponsored by Kennebec Savings Bank, City of Waterville, Harold Alfond Foundation, and Allen Insurance.
