Art in the Park

Riverside Park Conservancy and the Playground Partners group are so excited to bring back Art in the Park this summer, with a slight twist! In an effort to spread more of our programming offerings to other playgrounds in the Park, the program will now take place two days a week at Hippo Playground on 91st St and two days a week at Riverbank Playground on 142nd St!

Art in the Park classes this year have been specially developed by our Sustainability team, with a focus on learning about nature through arts & crafts projects. These activities will both enhance children's appreciation and knowledge about trees, plants, animals and the ecology of Riverside Park and be an outlet for creative exploration and expression.

To help us track interest and numbers, we request parents register for the days they expect their child(ren) to attend!

Class Schedule

All classes will take place from 10 AM to 12 PM. Classes will start the week of July 20 and run to August 27.

Mondays and Thursdays will be located at Riverbank Playground. Tuesdays and Wednesdays will be located at Hippo Playground.

Classes are mostly outdoors - we recommend students wear comfortable shoes, clothing, and bring a water bottle and snack!

Ages Suitable For

Ages 4-7

Parents and caregivers should plan to stay with their child(ren) for the duration of class!
