The Bottle Works presents Art in the Holocaust, an exhibit from the Yad Vashem-The World Holocaust Remembrance Museum Collection.
The exhibit includes informational posters of the work of over twenty artists created during the Holocaust (1939-1945), almost half of whom did not survive. The artworks reflect the tension between the inclination to document the terrible events endured and the desire to break free through art, transcending into the realms of beauty, imagination, and faith.
We are proud to be part of Hope Springs Eternal: the Holocaust Project, a collaboration between local organizations aiming to bring unique education and awareness about the Holocaust to Cambria County and the surrounding areas. The project is a combined effort of organizations across the region, all of whom are hosting a variety of events, performances, and showcases to promote Holocaust education.
