Art Gallery Journaling Session
About this Event
Join us for an afternoon of quiet observation and creative response as we explore Abstraction, our current group show featuring unique works by Texas artists.
This isn't your typical gallery tour. Instead of listening to commentary, you'll be invited to slow down, reflect on each piece, and let your own reactions take shape on the page. Our guide will lead you through the exhibition with gentle prompts designed to spark reflection — on color, form, memory, and meaning — as you move from work to work.
Write freely, sketch what you see, or simply jot down a phrase that catches you. At the end of the walk, there will be an opportunity to share a piece of your writing with the group, or simply keep it for yourself. Both are welcome.
What to bring: Feel free to bring your own journal and pens or pencils. Blank journals and sketching pencils will also be available for purchase at the gallery for $10.
