Art for Smiles 2026

Art for Smiles is our annual community arts event celebrating youth creativity, culture, and storytelling. This year’s theme, “Stories That Shape Us,” invites youth artists and community members to explore identity, migration, and belonging through powerful creative expression.

The event features short film screenings by emerging youth filmmakers, followed by engaging discussions, and a panel conversation titled “Growing Up Between Worlds: Youth, Art, and Migration.” Participants can also join an Indigenous youth-led beading workshop rooted in cultural knowledge and respect for the land.

Throughout the event, guests can take part in interactive experiences, including a Creative Booth mural where everyone contributes to a shared artwork, and a Listening Booth featuring youth stories that reflect lived experiences of racism.
