Join us on 4th September, 5pm-7pm at INNSiDE by Meliá Manchester for the launch of a new art partnership and exhibition from 1838 Collective.
The collaboration will transform the hotel's 1st floor, championing emerging artists from Greater Manchester with a rolling programme of exhibitions showcasing a diverse range of contemporary artistic practices.
Founded by graduates of Manchester School of Art, 1838 Collective is a non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting artists as they transition into professional practice.

The exhibition will feature the six members of 1838 Collective: Rebecca Garrard, exploring embodied knowledge through ink and charcoal; Oriana Loucaidou, examining gendered histories of domestic making through Cypriot craft and embroidery; Blake Barbosa, reinterpreting religious iconography through a queer lens; Yasaman Mollasalehi, expressing inner energy and transcendence through layered oil paintings; Aliya Farakh, exploring memory and mixed heritage through emotionally charged oil paintings inspired by horror films; and Masi Naidj, building abstract forms through layers of natural pigments and oil paint and so much more.
During the eventing, Rebecca Gararrd, Aliya Farakh and Sophie York will be on hand to talk through their artwork and practices.
