Art Club

Our Art Club is perfect to explore artistic tecniques and develop your creative flare through hand on tasks, discussion and practical learning.

The club is ideal for those families choosing to home educate and will cater for a mixed age range. Each session will focus on a different tecnique and will include learning about key artists. There will be plenty of time for the children to try out tasks and projects based on the session's theme.

Please note that some parts of the sessions will take place outside within the centre grounds so please ensure you all come dressed for the weather and in appropriate footwear. Please also wear clothing you are happy to get messy.

The club runs on the third Thursday of the month. The dates for 2026 are as follows:

April 23rd (please note this is the 4th Thursday of the month): Silhouettes, Symmetry & Colour

May 21st: David Zinn & Pareidolin Art

June 18th: Land Art & Goldsworthy

July 16th: Cyanotypes & Anna Atkins

Please note there is no session in August

September 17th: Papermaking & Printing with Nature

October 15th: Clay Creatures

November 19th: Abstract Art & Kandinsky

December 10th (pleae note this is the 2nd Thursday of the month): Winter Wonders

Themes are subject to change where necessary.

Advance booking is essential.

Best suited to children aged 5 years to 11 years (however, you know your child's stage of learning best so all are welcome)
