Using art-making to explore feelings around a life transition, change or loss, in a safe and supportive space. No art experience necessary.
About this Event

Going through a life transition, loss or big change can be so difficult. This group is for individuals who are moving through any kind of life change: going through a divorce, adjusting to aging or health changes, grieving the loss of a loved one, processing the enormous changes that are happening with our planet, etc.... This is a friendly, supportive space to use art-making to explore the feelings that come with life's big changes or losses. Our time together will begin with a brief guided self-inquiry about what feelings are most prevalent in the moment, then we will work quietly with our art supplies, creating an expression that allows those feelings to find a voice through shapes and colors. After about 45 minutes of drawing time we will gather again and have a chance to share some about what the process was like for us. Sharing is always optional. Please bring your own set of oil pastels or other art materials and a drawing pad. Let's come together to connect and find healing through artistic expression. No art experience necessary, just a willingness to explore your feelings and emotions through the creative process. We will meet in person at the Pilgrim Center for Connection. Free, but donations very welcome. Hosted by Analisa Lee, MA, Licensed Professional Counselor.
