It is our privilege to invite you to our 17th Annual Real Life Girlfriends Annual Women’s Retreat on June 25-27, 2026. Real Life Girlfriends is the Women's Ministry of Kurt Owen Ministries and Real Life Church.
Join us for a weekend of fellowship, fun, and growth in the Lord Jesus Christ. We hope you can take a moment to join us to relax, rest and renew your spirit, soul and body. Our theme this year is ARISE. In the Bible, "arise" signifies standing up, awakening, or initiating action, transitioning from rest or inactivity in our spiritual life to movement This is a divine call to action, spiritual awakening, taking initiative, and shifting from complacency or despair to empowerment. It is rising to our higher purpose as Women of God!
Hit “pause” from your daily rhythms and gather with us to be encouraged, equipped, and strengthened in our faith. God has a perfect plan for each of our lives, and sometimes, that plan is scary and filled with what-ifs. But we can trust in God despite our fear and uncertainty. He is faithful, and like Philippians 1:6 says, if He starts a work in you, you can trust that He’ll finish it.

Pastor Kurt Owen

Pastor Kurt Owen was sick and dying of a debilitating disease, while listening to a TV minister who said, “The Bible is God speaking to you. If you believe it, it will work. If you don’t, it won’t.” These words hit him with a force of a locomotive. He made up his mind to believe the Bible and do everything it said. Then he would know if God was real or not. That was over 30 years ago, and Pastor Kurt is more convinced now than ever that the Bible is God’s Word to man – it is the blueprint for victory in every area of life.

As Pastor Kurt walked with Jesus, it did not take him long to realize, faith for himself and for people he met around the world, was sometimes difficult. The Lord showed him the reason he and many other people knew about The Love of God but did not believe and apply it personally. Today many people's lives have been changed and their faith operates at a higher level because of Pastor Kurt's teaching on “Knowing and Believing the Love of God.”

Pastor Kurt left a successful career in private investigations and executive protection to enter full-time ministry as a traveling minister. He has aided other ministries and men/women of God for decades. His commitment to serving the people of God, embodies Jesus’ mandate to be the servant of all. When he is not home at his local church, Real Life Church or out ministering for Kurt Owen Ministries, he serves ministries by protecting ministers or training their protection teams. He has a unique perspective when teaching the importance of leadership and the role of helps ministry.

Pastor Kurt has started six churches, traveled to over 28 nations, seen countless people saved, healed, and grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus. He still travels the world, using every available media to teach in a practical manner God’s Word. So, any hearer can believe and apply the Word of God to their everyday life and walk in the life that God's love has freely provided for them. He is known for making things simple, practical and to the point. Application of the Word of God and flowing with the Holy Spirit is the key to victory. People can receive and apply the truths of the Word when they hear him teach.

Not your average minister, he enjoys shooting firearms and training in hand to hand combat. He donates his time to local law enforcement agencies as a chaplain and volunteer trainer for defensive tactics and firearms training. Occasionally, he teaches shooting and hand to hand combat to military and civilians.

Pastor Kurt lives in Port St. Lucie, Florida with his loving wife and beautiful daughter. Pastor Kurt never ceases to proclaim God's love and truth, JESUS IS RISEN! VICTORY IS ASSURED!

Pastor Terry Owen
Pastor Terry is devoted to Jesus and encourages individuals to cultivate a personal relationship with Him. She emphasizes gratitude towards God and seeking solutions in His Word for every life situation. This approach, which transformed her own life, has become the cornerstone of her ministry. Pastor Terry is passionate about restoring hope to those in pain, particularly women.

She has been used by God to positively impact many lives, delivering His Word with clarity, simplicity, and courage. Pastor Terry is married to her best friend and mentor, Pastor Kurt Owen. They have a wonderful daughter together, a true blessing from God. They also jointly pastor a warm, welcoming church called Real Life Church in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Pastor Terry is licensed and ordained through the Ministers of Victory and Charis Bible College.

Minister Rose Savage
Minister Rosetta (Rose) Savage has been a part of Real Life Church since 2004. In 2007, she was appointed by Pastor Kurt Owen to lead the women's ministry, Real Life Girlfriends. This ministry aims to help women grow spiritually and reach their full potential in all aspects of life: spirit, soul, body, finances, and social interactions.

Rose is an enthusiastic teacher of the Word, emphasizing its importance and necessity in every aspect of life. Her passion lies in supporting women in their faith, particularly during challenging times. Having overcome difficult circumstances in her own life, Rose is eager to share this hope with others.

In 2018, Rose was blessed with a loving and compassionate husband, Eugene Savage, who shares her deep love for God. She is also the mother of a beautiful daughter, Qianna Rose Bruneteau.

Rose is licensed and ordained through Ministers of Victory.

Amy is a licensed minister through Ministers of Victory. She has a passion for helping women overcome their past and live in victory despite anything they've gone through. Her simple and practical teaching style helps women find their identity in Christ while uprooting shame, fear, and self-doubt. Amy also has a professional background in Marketing Communications and is a Certified Health Coach. A Michigan native, she currently lives in Plain City, OH with her husband of nineteen years and three spoiled pups.
