Ardnamurchan Tasting at The Diggers

Join us for a tasting of Ardnamurchan Distillery's whiskies with brand ambassador Carl Crafts at The Athletic Arms aka The Diggers, Benromach Whisky Bar of the Year 2025.

Ardnamurchan Distillery was founded in 2014 at Glenbeg on the distant Ardnamurchan peninsula, close to the westernmost point on mainland Scotland, by the team behind Adelphi Selection - one of the foremost indepedent bottlers of whiskies and spirits in the world - and writing a new chapter of a book considered long closed following the closure of Glasgow's Adelphi (Loch Katrine) distillery.

Over the course of their short history, Ardnamurchan have shown a flair for combining traditional and modern whisky making techniques: heritage barley variety releases, peated and non-peated production, long fermentations in wooden and stainless steel washbacks, dunnage warehouse maturation in a variety of cask types. It came as no surprise that when the very first Ardnamurchan 10 year old was released at Whisky Fringe 2024 - by Adelphi of course - that it came away with the Spirit of Whisky Fringe Award for best whisky, as chosen by the attendees of the festival.

Ardnamurchan continues to go from strength to strength, with the release of a core range 10 year old whisky, lauded madeira and sauternes cask releases, and the return of The Midgie.
