Architecture Amble: East Towne Neighborhood
Advertisement
Explore the architecture and history of Wausau’s East Towne Neighborhood! We will begin with a tour inside the beautiful Zion Lutheran Church, which was recently recognized as a national landmark.
We will then head out into the neighborhood to learn about the trademark Wausau depot and its neighbor The Hiawatha. Other highlights will include the home of the Philosopher’s Press, local favorite The Domino, and the wonderfully wide variety of house styles.
Carl will be your guide for this tour.
Meet at Zion Lutheran Church parking lot at 6 pm.
Please be sure to wear comfortable shoes, and be aware that there may be uneven surfaces.
As always, our walking tours are free, but donations are appreciated.
