To familiarize the student with the modern sporting rifle - AR-15 platform. Students can expect to learn material covering the nomenclature, function, safe operation and handling, and new skills to help create positive habits with handling and shooting techniques.
Zeroing. Basic malfunction clearing. Accessory assessment. No AR-10 platforms.
Prerequisites: NONE - students may bring rifle or “rent”
AR-15 with iron sights and/or sighting system (red dot/holographic/scope)
1 Magazine
40 rounds of ammunition in the appropriate caliber (provided)

Practical - Demonstration of safe handling, dry fire, live fire, loading, firing, clearing, basic marksmanship at 15, 30, 50 yards.
Cleaning and Maintenance
All of this has been designed for the new shooter and civilian market. This is not a high speed jump in the air, perform a 360 ollie and shoot course.
