About this Event
Description:
This workshop will be about "Apprenticeship Pathways into the Space Industry." It will explore the various apprenticeship opportunities available to young people interested in pursuing a career in space-related fields. The space industry is growing rapidly, with private companies, government agencies, and international collaborations driving innovation. However, there is a significant skills gap in the workforce, particularly in technical roles. The workshop will cover the various certifications and preparatory steps young people need to take to break into the space industry through apprenticeships. Additionally, it will provide insights from experts in both the space sector and skilled trades on the specific skills and qualifications required to succeed in this field. Participants will gain an understanding of the different types of apprenticeships available in the space industry, including those in aerospace engineering, satellite technology, mission control, data science, and more.
