Join us at Henry and the Fox for a lively, flavour-packed masterclass celebrating one of Italy’s greatest culinary traditions — Antipasto and Aperitivo.
In this hands-on experience, our Executive Chef Terry P alongside antipasto enthusiast Malcolm Williams will guide you through the art of pickling, preserving and creating classic antipasto that will instantly elevate your next gathering.
You'll roll up your sleeves and learn how to prepare and preserve your own antipasto favourites including giardiniera, pickled calamari, black olive tapenade and peperonata — all beautifully jarred for you to take home.
But the afternoon doesn’t stop there.
Next, we step behind the bar with our resident bar team as they introduce the delicious ritual of Italian aperitivo culture. You’ll learn the secrets behind some of Italy’s most iconic drinks before enjoying them alongside a curated antipasto tasting.
Expect plenty of laughs, generous pours, delicious bites and a deeper understanding of how Italians turn simple ingredients into unforgettable moments.

During the class you’ll create and learn how to prepare:
Giardiniera
A vibrant Italian vegetable pickle balancing acidity, crunch and aromatics.
Pickled Calamari
A southern Italian coastal tradition preserving tender calamari with herbs, vinegar and olive oil.
Black Olive Tapenade
A rich Mediterranean spread of olives, capers and garlic perfect for antipasto platters.
Peperonata
Slow-cooked roasted capsicum with olive oil, vinegar and aromatics — one of Italy’s most loved antipasto classics.
Our bar team will guide you through a tasting and demonstration of classic Italian aperitivo cocktails including:
