APDA Connecting Through Art
Connecting Through Art is a free program that gives people living with Parkinson’s disease — and their care partners — the opportunity to express themselves creatively while building community. Instructed by art instructor Maris Gilbert, participants explore different art projects in a supportive, judgment-free environment where no prior artistic experience is needed.
The program provides more than just creative expression — it fosters connection, relaxation, and joy, while also helping with focus, dexterity, and confidence. Best of all, participants can take home their completed art pieces as a lasting reminder of their creativity and growth.
By coming together through art, participants can share their journeys, support one another, and celebrate creativity as a powerful tool for living well with Parkinson’s disease.
