Training together helps us build open, supportive, trusting communities of friends and comrades, whilst improving our fitness, physical confidence and mental wellbeing.
After Britain First were roundly outnumbered and humiliated in Manchester in February, we're building up to opposing them again as they plan to return to our city on 18th of April. To really cement our victory over street fascism, & with the background of increasing fascist activity in our communities, it’s especially important that we continue to build & strengthen these connections, that we have the collective strength to take care of each other, to have each other's backs.
Join us for another free Muay Thai taster sessions & see what we’re about. New & previous attendees all welcome.
Training 6-7pm, followed by free food & hangouts.
Food will be vegan and gluten free, but we can’t guarantee allergies etc.
Bring comfortable clothes, all equipment provided.
It is essential that you book in advance or we cannot guarantee entry.

This group is built around transfeminist, anti-racist, anti-fascist principles.
We are beginner-, queer- and trans-friendly.
Our space is mixed ability, anti-macho, inclusive and as accessible as we can make it.
This means:
we respect one another’s limits and comfort levels, & never judge anyone for stopping when they reach those limits;
we check in with each other;
we never hit anyone harder than they want to be hit;
we support each other to push ourselves, but we never expect anyone to push themselves harder than they wish to.
We welcome new friends & comrades who share these values.

Accessibility info:
There is lift access to all floors of the building.
There are gender neutral toilets on each floor except the 4th . There are wheelchair accessible toilets on the Ground 1st and 3rd Floors. The rooms have a 1.4m turning circle and include fold down table for general use or baby changing.
There are areas available for baby changing or expressing. Visitors requiring such can ask at Reception or ask their host and arrangements can be made.
There is an area allocated to prayer available, which is quiet private and appropriate. Reception or your host can assist with locating the space.
Bridge 5 Mill is generally a quiet working space. Most occupants are engaged in administrative tasks and the area is mostly residential. Lighting is relaxed and there a limited unnatural back ground noises.
Sometimes the area around Bridge 5 Mill can be busy due to matches at the Etihad Stadium, or concerts at the Co-op live. This can result in large crowds both pedestrian and on public transport.
Whilst the Muay Thai sessions are necessarily somewhat physically demanding, participants are absolutely free to determine their own levels of involvement, and our trainer will be happy to advise on suitable activities for any participants particular needs or preferences if asked.
