The Friends of Cape Henlopen State Park (FOCHSP) is holding our Annual Meeting on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the new Biden Environmental Center. Coffee and doughnuts will be available at 10:00 AM, along with the opportunity to learn more about volunteer opportunities with The Friends of Cape Henlopen State Park while meeting members and board officers.
The Annual Meeting will be hosted by President Jeff Underwood, who will provide an overview of the Friends’ accomplishments and upcoming goals. Sean Cain, Assistant Superintendent of CHSP, will provide an update on park projects and goals for the new year.
Our featured speaker will be: Suellen Blackwood, Dark Skies Group. Ms. Blackwood will be discussing the Dark Skies Imitativeand their vital work to reduce light pollution, protect the night sky’s natural beauty, and improve the health and safety of both people and wildlife. Attendees will learn how this initiative benefits energy conservation and enhances opportunities to experience the wonder of the night sky.
The Annual Meeting is a free event and open to the public, but note that Park entrance fees will be in effect. Advance registration is not required.
Friends of Cape Henlopen State Park merchandise, Hoodies, T Shirts, Reusable Water Bottle, and License Plate will be available for sale at the meeting.
