Healthy Families of Cayuga County invites you to join us in enjoying light refreshments, community, planting a pinwheel garden, and taking a walk around the Hoopes Park with us on April 6th at 1 pm in honor of Family Strength & Support Month! To purchase a shirt, please scan the QR code below! (T shirt sale ends March 4th) T shirts will be delivered the last week of March by staff. This event is free and open to the public! We walk and plant a pinwheel garden to bring awareness to the importance of families feeling strong, supported, & connected to create homes where children can thrive emotionally, socially, & developmentally. No family is "perfect" and it's important to recognize 1. the real work families to everyday to keep the "wheels moving" 2. reducing the stigma around asking for help 3. promoting community partnerships 4. reducing crises before they happen
Meeting families where they are and building strength is what this month is all about! We hope to see you there!!!
