We love the Corgi Beach Day, CorgiCon, and Corgi Nationals in California. CorgiFest in Idaho, and Corgi races all over the NFL. But what could be more epic than a Corgi Beach Bash weekend in paradise? Venice, Florida is world famous for its endless cache of sharks teeth fossils on its beaches. But with this Corgi-fest, sharks won't be the only predators you find at the beach! ;)Make Venice your destination for a "fin"tastic pet-friendly family vacation with your favorite furry loaf of bread. There are many festivities to get you out and about in this cute upscale "Mayberry" town. Start off with an evening under the stars watching an international horse jumping event at Fox Lea Farm on Friday, February 20, 2026 at 6:30-8:30 pm. Only $10 per person and Corgis on a leash are welcome. Complimentary charcuterie will be available, or you can purchase a personal wood oven-fired pizza and a drink from the bar.
Then get a good night's sleep for the following day's excitement!
Time to K*ll on Saturday morning before the Corgi Beach Bash? Walk around the Venice Florida Farmer's Market behind City Hall "on the island" near Venice Beach. You're sure to find a delicious pastry or lunch item. Pups on a leash are welcome. Stop by the Young Living essential oils booth and talk to Tara and Sharon, (the Corgi Bash organizers who also have a booth at the Farmer's Market) and get the lay of the land. Wander down the street toward Venice Beach to see the banyan trees or head downtown with your floof and do a little window shopping on Venice Avenue or Miami Street. Dogs are welcome at Venice Wine & Coffee which has a great outside bistro area or indoor bar to enjoy a glass of wine. And benches scatter the walkways if you need to take a break.
See you in the afternoon at the Beach Bash on Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 2:00 to 7:00 pm at Brohard Paw Park & Beach. Enjoy a costume contest, corgi races, leash-free romping, sunset over the Gulf, and some much-needed rest and relaxation.
Hungry after a day on the beach? After sunset, head over to British Open Pub for dinner. They even have a special "pup" menu that includes meat and veggies and something sweet. Or check out The Old Salty Dog Venice. Both restaurants have a full bar and menu and require dogs to be on leash.
On Sunday morning, head over to Pinebrook Fitness Trail at 9:30 am and enjoy a beautiful hike in nature with the group. There are benches throughout the trail if you'd like to take a break and enjoy the scenery. It's the best way to cap off a perfect Corgi vacation weekend in Venice, Florida, one of the most dog-friendly cities in the US!
Book your hotel accommodations at Hotel Venezia in Venice, Florida on Tamiami Trail/41. It is dog-friendly, and has a big pool, restaurant, and tiki bar. Plus, it is only a mile or so from the beach and all the activities.
