Annual AK Connection Summer Picnic
AK Connection invites all Korean Adoptees, along with their friends and family, to join us for an evening of food and fun. This is one of our biggest events of the year that welcomes back many of our longtime regulars, as well as new faces in the community. Feel free to stop by for a minute, stay the whole time, we'd love to see you!
Registration Required: Please try to register by August 16, 2026, at 11:59 PM, to help us with our preparations. All attendees are expected to adhere to our guidelines to ensure a respectful and welcoming environment.
🗓️ Date: August 22, 2026
🕔 Time: 5:00 - 9:00 PM
📍 Place: Jaycees Shelter in Central Park in Roseville, MN

Food
AK Connection will provide rice, kimchi, japchae, chicken & beef bulgogi, an assortment of banchan/sides, fruit, and bottled water. We welcome you to bring a dish, beverage, or dessert to share.
Activities
Join us for another round of our Connections Bingo, a fun way to get to know fellow community members and maybe win a prize! We'll also have a cake walk (win some Korean market sweets and treats), along with our usual assortment of traditional Korean games and lawn games.
This year we'll also be introducing Community Corner at the picnic, a new space within our larger Korean Adoptee community-centered programming where members can share upcoming events, personal milestones, community initiatives, side hustles, creative projects, and other exciting news. We love celebrating what our community is doing and finding ways to support one another.

Directions & Parking
The Jaycees Shelter is located in Roseville Central Park at 2540 Lexington Ave N, Roseville, MN 55113. Enter the park from Lexington Avenue, just south of County Road C. Free parking is available in the main lot. From the parking lot, follow the paved path east past the amphitheater to the Jaycees Shelter—a short 2–3 minutes.
We'll have signs posted along the route to help guide you. If the main lot is full, additional parking is available along Oakcrest Avenue and Brooks Road West. If you plan on bringing anything difficult to carry, we'd recommend a cart (which is available at the shelter).
About the Venue - Jaycees Shelter
This has quickly become one of our favorite spots with beautiful sights of the nearby lake, a close playground within view of the shelter, a full kitchen, and a real bathroom 😅 It's a bit of a walk from the lot (all paved), so we'll have signs directing you to the shelter.
