Professional Program Overview
The aim of this training is to provide a comprehensive introduction to the theoretical foundations and practical application of animal-assisted psychological interventions. Participants will learn how dogs and horses can be effectively integrated into therapeutic work, enriching their existing professional practice.
The program consists of two core components:
* A theoretical module
* A practical training module
The theoretical content is delivered through a flexible online e-learning system, allowing participants to study at their own pace.
During the practical training, participants will gain hands-on experience with both dog-assisted and equine-assisted therapeutic methods. The theoretical component provides an overview of:
* The scientific foundations of animal-assisted therapy
* Methodological characteristics of dog-assisted and equine-assisted interventions
* The effects of incorporating animals into therapeutic settings
* Planning and designing animal-assisted interventions
Throughout the six practical training days, participants will learn how to integrate animals into the therapeutic process from assessment and diagnosis through intervention and closure.
Special emphasis is placed on:
* Working with children
* Working with adults
* Group interventions
* Systemic approaches
* Neuroaffirmative practice
The practical module also enables participants to develop and implement self-awareness and therapeutic exercises for both individual and group settings. In addition, participants will receive guidance in building a practical toolkit tailored to their everyday professional work, allowing them to successfully integrate animals into their practice.
