About this Event
This is an in-person event with an option to attend online.
Singers are a unique client group, often presenting with complex interactions between vocal technique, vocal load, performance demands, identity, health, and communication. For many Speech and Language Therapists, working with singers can feel both fascinating and daunting.
This practical and clinically focused in-person and online workshop is designed for SLTs who are new to working with singers, or those wishing to build greater confidence and clarity in this specialist area of practice.
Led by Carrie Garrett, Voice Specialist Speech and Language Therapist and Clinical Director of The Singer’s Clinic, this session will provide foundational knowledge, practical clinical reasoning, and transferable therapy ideas to support clinicians working with singing voice users across a variety of settings.
The workshop aims to bridge the gap between traditional voice therapy and the specific needs of singers, helping attendees feel more confident in assessment, therapy planning, communication, and onward referral decisions.
