--- Open meeting, language for discussion is English ---What are the barriers holding back women in countries like Libanon, Iran, Kurdistan and Afghanistan in the fields of politics, rights and freedom?
Religion, traditions, the economy and war all play a role. Who are the agents of change, that are courageously fighting for “Women, Life, Freedom”? We invite you to join us for an inspiring, open meeting with some of these actors, as we last but not least ask: How can we support them from our location in Norway?
We are happy to introduce the panel, which features experts and activists:
- Shirine Jurdi - women’s activist and Executive Board member Green Party of Lebanon (GPL)
- Fadi El Jamal - GPL political officer and international relations officer, Green Party of Lebanon (GPL)
- Mona Johansson - Iranian Solidarity Forum (ISF)
- Ayser Yuce, Kurdisk Demokratisk Samfunnsenter
- Hoda Khamosh, Afghan activist
The discussion will be moderated by:
- Cindy Robles, Chair member of International Committee of The Norwegian Green Party (MDG)
Together we will discuss the structural barriers to women’s rights and explore how change can driven forward!
