We’re excited to bring our unique community event "Wild About Spring 2026" to Penticton this year. Our feature film is called "The Beaver Believers" - an urgent yet whimsical story of an unlikely cadre of activists – five scientists and a hairdresser – who share a common vision: restoring the North American Beaver, that most industrious, ingenious, bucktoothed engineer, to the watersheds of the arid West.
We are also showing the indigenous-led short film "Beaver- A Medicine Of Possibility", describing beavers beautifully as agents of ecological restoration rather than pests.
Proceeds from this fundraiser event go directly to Interior Wildlife to help us the build a "Beaver Hotel" for injured and orphaned beavers in Summerland - a first of its kind in BC.
Silent auction starts: 4pm
Films start: 4:30pm
