The Waterford Historical Society will host a a syrupy sweet presentation by Jim Luce, retired supervisor of grounds at Connecticut College and current president of the Waterford Land Trust, and David Lersch, previous president of Waterford Land Trust and Commissioner on the Town's Wetland and Conservation Commission. Together they will discuss the long-standing method of harvesting and producing maple syrup and provide a short slide show presentation. Jim has offered a a maple-syrup workshop at Conn for years, and Dave taps maple trees on his Oswegatchie home property and his Vermont tree farm.
Downstairs in the Waterford Public Library Meeting Room. Free and open to the public. Donations gratefully accepted.
