"Under 50" Gathering

Friends and Members of the UUSG Community,
We're having an "under 50" gathering at the church. While it will be very sweet to hang out and notice who in the broader UUSG community is under 50 years old, our main hope is to come up with one or two or three things we would like to do together over the coming year.
This could include anything we think we'd enjoy or find engaging, such as * a game or movie night * a skill share or 'make and take' * a hike or paddle excursion, etc, etc, etc.
Or it could be a more spiritual/meditative experience, that is a different time and format than our usual Sunday morning service.
The point is not necessarily to come up with something that will be everybody's be all and end all but just to get together and start planning something together that would be meaningful to us some time in the coming church year - so from July 2026 to June 2027.
Since it will be around dinner time we will have substantial snacks, but if you need to eat a real dinner before 7, you're welcome to bring a dinner to eat while we're together. If you can't make it at 5:45 because of work or school or whatever the case may be, come when you can, we'll be there till 7pm. We'll keep it light so that we can enjoy being together.
If there is something about the format that would make this gathering work better for you please reach out to us. (For example my partner really despises obligatory pair shares or awkward ice breakers, whereas I really love stuff like that.) Also if you've got particular dietary needs we can keep in mind for snacks let us know. And please reach out with any accessibility question or anything that would make this more welcoming for you. And if you know someone in the area who's under 50 who you think might be interested, bring them along.... we are thinking of UUSG members and friends in the broadest sense possible.
