Did you know that in 1839, a series of devasting fires nealy wiped Mobile off the map? Join us at the historic Cox-Deasy Cottage for a deep dive into one of our city's most dramatic chapters. We are thrilled to welcome Todd Duren local tour guide and owner of Secret tour guide and owner of Secret History Tours, as he presents: "The Gang that Burned Mobile: The Disastrous 1839 Fire and its Effects on Mobile."
Come learn about the suspected arsonists, the chaos of the flames, and how the city rose from the ashes to reshape the Mobile we know today.
