Africatown Heritage House is hosting its April 2026 Heritage Lecture Series event, a collection of speeches designed to touch on topics related to the Black experience, on Thursday, April 17, 2026 at 5:30pm.ABOUT THE LECTURE: This presentation will focus on guiding residents through the homeownership process and highlighting the importance of preserving property through estate planning to help families build and protect generational legacy within the community.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Andreda Randelson is a Mobile, Alabama native from the Happy Hill community of Africatown and an Associate Broker with The Vine Realty Group. With over eight years of experience in real estate, she specializes in community-centered development, homeownership education, and advocacy for equitable housing opportunities. She currently serves as Local Board President of NAREB Mobile and is the Immediate Past State President of the Alabama Association of Real Estate Brokers. Andreda is also a board member of Alethia House, supporting one of the region’s largest nonprofit organizations dedicated to housing stability and recovery. Through a competitive RFP process, her firm was selected by the Africatown Redevelopment Corporation to support the purchase and sale of properties in the Africatown Historic District. A certified Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource (SFR), Andreda works closely with individuals and families navigating distressed property situations to help preserve equity and protect long-term wealth. As a speaker, Andreda is passionate about empowering the Black community through homeownership, restoring neighborhood stability, and advancing generational wealth through real estate.
The History Museum of Mobile and Africatown Heritage House invite the public to attend this FREE Heritage Lecture Series event.
