About the Book: Fourteenth ColonyIn his award-winning book, Fourteenth Colony: The Forgotten Story of the Gulf South During America’s Revolutionary Era, Mike Bunn sheds light on a dramatic and often overlooked chapter of our local heritage. From its acquisition in 1763 to the intense Spanish invasion during the Revolutionary War, Bunn brings to life the stories of the settlers, soldiers, and Native Americans who shaped the Gulf South.
Mike Bunn is a renowned historian and the Director of Historic Blakeley State Park. He is the author or co-author of several books on Gulf South history and a recipient of the NSDAR Excellence in American History Award. His passion for preserving the unique identity of our region makes him one of the most engaging speakers on colonial history today.
